Chipo Kunze is a Zimbabwean international banker and a certified lender who is now engaged in financial sector consultancy, and has worked in the banking sector for 4 decades covering local and international banking groups. She has worked across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Europe in senior roles spanning business origination, credit training, credit director, Chief risk officer while serving as an executive committee member in both Standard Chartered bank and Equity Bank Kenya. She served as a member of the Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services Academic Board Senate representing Tier 1 Financial Institutions.
Chipo holds various certifications as certified Risk Manager through PRMIA (Professional Risk Managers Association, USA (PRMIA), certified lender, certified risk management for bank by Bank of Tanzania, sustainable finance initiative by Kenya Bankers association.
She also holds a Bankers diploma from Institute of Banks Zimbabwe, Transformational Church Leadership Diploma from Pan Africa Christian University, post graduate diploma in Accounting and Finance from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and bachelor of Theology degree from South African Theological Seminary (SATS). She also holds an MBA from Azaliah University USA and a Doctor of Business Administration from UNICAF University, Zambia.
Chipo is married to Pastor Richard Gundani Kunze and is also a church minister in Zimbabwe. She loves playing the acoustic guitar, reading, long distance walking, spending time with her grandchildren, travelling and holidaying.
